Garstang Martial Arts Club members picked up no less than three world titles at the Tyga World Championships.
Five members, including head coaches Mick and Cathy Dickinson, put on an impressive display, bringing home a haul of 12 medals from the contest held at the National Sports Centre, Crystal Palace, London.
The competition attracted participants from across the country and the rest of Europe.
Kickboxer David Oliver picked up double gold by winning finals in the san shou kickboxing and forms sequence events.
Husband and wife team Mick and Cathy added another gold to the collection in the goshin budo self defence team event, despite Cathy having broken two fingers during the pre-competition warm -up.
Mick said: “It was an extremely tough competition, with participants from all over the UK and other parts of Europe.
“It was the first time we had taken part in this event and there were some strong contenders. Cathy did so well to battle through all her events and reach the finals with two broken fingers.
“As well as the gold in the team event, she also picked up a silver and bronze in the kickboxing and point fighting.”
Also among the medal winners were Simon Barnes and Liam Dickinson, both awarded silver in the senior and junior point fighting.
