Garstang jet setter Julie Graham travelled to Liechtenstein to take on a challenging marathon route finishing in 59th place.

Julie completed the course in 5 hours 39 minutes. Julie set out three weeks later with fellow member Tim Warner to run the Zermat ultra 33 miles. Tim was happy to finish the full route in 7 hours 46 minutes though he was beaten by Julie who finished in 6 hours 57 minutes.

Graham Tagg took on a 23 mile fell ‘yomp’ finishing in 10th position out of over 20 competitors. His race time of 3 hrs 53 minutes only 30 minutes behind the race winner. And he was back pounding the miles in the 3 rings of Shap 100k race, where this time he was 15th in just under 16 hours.

Members Simon Gora and Gary Heyworth took part in the flatter routes of the Morecambe 10k and Badgers 10k in Curden Valley. Simon finishing 59th out of 252nd in 43.21 and Gary just outside 45 mins in 48th position out of over 240 competitors.

And two members were awarded prizes at the local Pilling 10k. Frank Miller and Mary Hewitt won their age category. Frank was first home in 51.05, with Julia Patefield next in 56.47, followed by Mary Hewitt in 57.08.
