Young pupils turned the focus on the food chain in a memorable harvest celebration at St Eadmer’s at Admarsh-in-Bleasdale.
Fellside team rector the Rev Jeff Finch, who led the service said: “ It was just wonderful. The children of Bleasdale school were absolutely brilliant . They sang a harvest Samba wich really livened up the worship.
“They did a little sketch that really showed how so many people play a part in bringing the final produce to the shop.
“They said thank you to everybody at each link of the chain from shopkeeper to producer.” He added the church had been beautifully decorated and there were many visitors, who also enjoyed a local history exhibition and home-made refreshments at the village hall. Harvest food donations went to the Preston Food Bank.
