If you love vintage motoring, then lovely Lytham Hall is the place for you this Sunday.
The stately home becomes the elegant setting for a fantastic gathering of classic cars of all shapes and sizes as the Hall hosts its annual Classic Car and Motorcycle Show.
The hugely popular event is now in its sixth year – and annually attracts thousands of enthusiasts to enjoy the display in the grounds of the Georgian mansion.
The day-long show, which opens at 10am and runs until 4pm, features over 300 classic cars, trucks, commercials and classic motorcycles.
There will also be displays from many classic car clubs, along with many trade stands and an autojumble.
There will be parades, commentaries, judging of the classes, competitions and prizes throughout the day, providing lots of entertainment for the whole family.
The historic manor house, which was once home to the Clifton family, stands in almost 80 acres of wooded parkland at the end of the long driveway and provides the perfect backdrop for the show which is held on the lawns directly in front of the Hall.
Organiser Mark Woodward, who runs classic car shows throughout the country, said “This is one of the exhibitors’ favourite shows and I can certainly see why.”
The crowds are allowed into the grounds for the show from 10am until 4pm. Admission is £6.50 for adults and £3 for children, with those under seven going free.
Refreshments will be on sale throughout the day in the Hall’s tearooms. Tours of the home itself will also be on offer for a small extra charge.
Lytham Hall, which is on Ballam Road, Lytham, near Blackpool, is within easy walking distance of Lytham town centre.
