Children aged three and above can get their first taste of classical ballet, with My First Cinderella at Manchester Opera House this weekend.
The show is part of English National Ballet’s bid to bring ballet to younger audiences.
My First Cinderella is
choreographed by ENB’s George Williamson.
Created with youngsters in mind, the simplified version builds on the great success of My First Sleeping Beauty – which delighted audiences at the Palace Theatre last June.
The hope is to inspire long term relationships with the art form, reaching out to
newcomers today and developing the ballet audiences of tomorrow.
The piece is specifically to be suitable for ages three-plus and there are five performances throughout Saturday and Sunday.
