Adlington Music And Arts Society return to the stage next week, fresh from winning a host of awards for a “particularly raunchy” musical version of Bad Girls, which proved to be popular with the audience.
It was also a hit with the National Operatic And Dramatic Association, who gave the society four trophies at a regional awards night in Southport. AMAS won the best show award and overall best production, while Christian Brabin won best direction of a musical and Dave Dossett picked up the musical director award.
The society returns on Monday with their version of Jesus Christ Superstar. It opens at 7.15pm on Monday at Adlington Community Centre, on Railway Road, and runs until Saturday, Tickets cost £10 for adults and £8 for children and senior citizens. Call the box office on 07799 486876.
