Korova’s Comedy Friday continues in special vein tonight as it launches the Preston Tringe Festival.

The venue will be hosting a range of comedy throughout the Festival, including award nominated show at the Edinburgh Fringe.

The festival will launch with KorovaKlectic tonight, which mixes comedy with a range of other disciplines, including music and poetry.

The event will be MC’d by Kiri Pritchard-McLean, and feature Yorkshire based comic James Christopher, as well as Tringe musician Ben Smith.

Pritchard-McLean will be a regular at Korova during the festival.

On Saturday she’ll perform her 2015 Edinburgh preview show, a hilarious and insightful foray into gender politics and race with a well researched diversion through science. If women can’t be funny, how has Kiri made a living from it?

Sketch troupe Gein’s Family Gift Shop will also be at Korova on Sunday with their show ‘Gein Family Giftshop: Volume 2’.

They return from Edinburgh having been nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe, along with a range of other awards.

Korova owner Sam Buist said he was excited about the acts the night is attracting.

“It’s great that acts acclaimed at events like the Edinburgh Fringe, feel Korova is for them,” said Sam.

Preston Tringe Launch is tonight from 8pm. Kiri Pritchard-McLean is on Saturday from 8.30pm. Geins Family Giftshop: Vol Sunday from 8.30pm.
