The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy became an instant classic on its launch as a radio series and last year saw the cult favourite reinvented as a stage production.
Adapted from the Douglas Adams novels, it toured in 2012, and was seen by more than 35,000 people.
For this new version, returning to Manchester Opera House next week, guest Voices will join the original radio cast on stage. Many have personal connections to Adams either as friends or through his work.
In Manchester, the Voice of the Book will be played over the two nights by Danny John-Jules, Cat from Red Dwarf (Tuesday) and comedienne Shappi Korshandi (Wednesday).
They will join Simon Jones (Arthur Dent), other members of the original cast and comedian Mitch Benn (Zaphod Beeblebrox).
