One of Britain’s leading travelling theatre companies, The Festival Players, will perform William Shakespeare’s hilarious ‘A Comedy of Errors’ in the grounds of Parrox Hall, Preesall on 24 July.

‘A Comedy of Errors’, the Bard’s shortest play, is a farce of mistaken identities, combined with undertones of the sinister.

A master and his servant arrive in a foreign port which, unbeknown to them, is the home of their long-lost twin brothers.

Mayhem ensues as brother is taken for brother in a riotous train of misunderstandings.

The Festival Players promise a production is a colourful and entertaining romp performed by the traditional all-male cast.

Parrox Hall, above, is one of the oldest houses in Lancashire and has been occupied by the same family since before Shakespeare’s day. Its gardens provide a magnificent setting for the performance and an opportunity to enjoy a summer evening picnic.

Gates open 5.45 pm and the performance begins at 7.30pm. For more information or to book tickets (£15, £10 children under 16) call Tracy on 01253 812 209 or go online and follow the link at www.parroxhall.co.uk
