Buckshaw VAMP’s production of Gaslight by Patrick Hamilton is staged this Friday and Saturday, March 13 and 14, at Southlands High School in Chorley.
The play centres around the miserable marriage of Mr and Mrs Manningham in Victorian London, and an unexpected visitor who turns up at their home to reveal long hidden secrets.
This Victorian thriller was made into a film in 1944, featuring Ingrid Bergman and Angela Lansbury, and recently revived by the Old Vic in London’s West End with Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike in the lead role.
Tickets cost £8 (£6 concs) from Malcolm’s Musicland on Chapel Street, Chorley. Call 01257 264362 or buy on the evening.
Both performances start at 7.30pm at Southlands High School in Chorley.
