A fire broke out in a Preston house due to a pan left on a hob.

Three fire engines from Fulwood, Preston and Penwortham stations were called to Eversleigh Street nat 1.15pm today.

Firefighters used four breathing apparatus and a ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Two people received precautionary checks from the North West ambulance service.
