Preston North End’s trip to Bristol City in the Championship has been rearranged for October 12, 7:45pm.

The game was due to take place on September 10 but was postponed following the death of Queen Elizabeth II as all of football was paused for the weekend as a sign of respect to Her Majesty.

The game will now take place on the Wednesday in October, in between the away trip to Norwich City on the Saturday before and the home visit of Stoke City on the Saturday after.

It will be one of seven games across a three week period for the Lilywhites in October, starting with Sunderland away in the first game back after the international break.

The Robins have had a decent start to the season and are two points ahead of PNE, in ninth place. It is normally a good place to go for the Liliywhites, having lost just once in their last nine visits including five wins.
