The Stone Roses: Made of Stone was directed by Shane Meadows of This Is England fame.

The film maker was invited by the band to follow them through the crucial time in 2012 when, out of the blue, they decided to reform and play huge sold out reunion gigs in Heaton Park in their home city of Manchester.

He documented this remarkable period, filming them at work, in their everyday lives.

Meadows’ unique directorial style and humour is very much reflected in the film which also shows the band rehearsing for their much-anticipated return in front of 220,000 adoring fans.
