Food festival bigger and better

Lancaster Food and Drink Festival returns this May.

Hosted in conjunction with Lancaster Brewery and Country Style Meats Farm Shop, Lancaster Leisure Park will be transformed over the two-day bank holiday in to a foodie paradise with more than 60 exhibitors in marquees, gazebos and huts.

There’ll be free parking and admission is free.

It features producers, growers, artisans, bars and respected food retailers – including Baxters Shrimps and Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Allan Blackburn, owner of Lancaster Leisure Park, said: “The last two events attracted more than 20,000 visitors to the site and it’s always wonderful for us to see so many people enjoying this extravaganza of an event.

“This year, I am excited to be working together with the team at Lancaster Brewery and Country Style Meats to make it one of the biggest events we’ve ever seen on the park.”

All the other attractions on the park will be open as normal, including GB Antiques Centre, the biggest antiques and furniture centre in the country, as well as Giggles Play and Adventure and The Original Factory Shop.

The brewery will provide refreshments and light meals throughout the weekend and Country Style Meats will have a barbeque.

The event is on Sunday/Monday, May 4/5 from 10am-4pm.
