The programme will raise funds for The Eddie Kidd Foundation, which offers aid to stunt performers and extreme sports athletes left injured by their hobbies.

Eddie was left paralysed after an accident in 1996.

The Preston club has donated £1,200 to Derian House and Cancer Research.

“It means a lot to our club having such a special guy taking time to come up to our event,” says club chairman Matt Hall. “Before his injury Eddie was one of the best stunt riders in the world and he’s an icon to many of us who grew up in that era.

“Since his injury the work he has done for charity is immense – he even completed the London marathon without his wheelchair, which took him almost two months.

“As a club we like to do a lot for charity and since one of our members is a close family friend of Eddie’s it made sense that we’d choose to support his charity – especially with it helping riders who were injured on two wheels. ”

The public will have the opportunity to meet and greet the stunt star who famously jumped his motorcycle over The Great Wall of China.

Entrance costs £3 per person with small children free.
