Strypes play sold-out 53 gig

The rhythm and blues four- piece, from Cavan, Ireland, only formed two years ago, yet everyone is talking about them.

Fresh from a packed-out performance at Glastonbury, the foursome – singer Ross Farrelly, guitarist Josh McClorey, bassist Pete O�Hanlon and drummer Evan Walsh – make their debut in our city to an eager crowd in 53’s intimate upstairs club room.

In the last 18 months, they’ve haunted the clubs and festivals of Ireland, the UK and Europe, carving out a no-nonsense blues repertoire drawing from Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Howlin� Wolf, Little Walter, Slim Harpo, and British blues groups like Dr Feelgood, Rolling Stones and Animals.
