Cloud Child, from the groundbreaking DNA Puppetry and Visual Theatre company, shows the bond between parent and child but also teaches children that love can sometimes mean
letting go.

A lonely woman is hanging out her washing when she finds the Cloud Child which has tumbled down from its home in the sky.

She cares for the child and teaches it all the things a human child needs to know.

But although the Cloud Child is delighted to be cared for, the question of how to be happy when one is living so near to the ground looms large, overshadowing their happiness.

DNA Puppetry and Visual Theatre specialise in creating work for young children with the aim of stimulating their imaginations and their play by engaging them both as participants and audience.

Led by the creative team of Adam Bennett and Rachel Riggs, DNA have brought their shows to The Continental several times before, scoring successes there with Thurtinkle’s Christmas Cracker, Chicken Licken, Ball Pond Bobby and The Frog Prince, which was performed before a capacity crowd.
