Frank Skinner wants your suggestions
The West Midlands stand-up comic, actor, writer and radio and TV presenter is set to appear at the Guild Hall for two nights as part of his 35-date UK tour, following a recent successful Soho Theatre run in London.
His Man in a Suit schedule marks the Room 101 presenter’s first nationwide itinerary since a sell-out tour seven years ago, and the 57-year-old wants to make the most of his opportunity.

Hide AdFrank, who started his live career back in 1987 and has already made several successful past visits to Lancashire, said: “I’ve always enjoyed touring. When I hear people say they’re not going to tour again, be it musicians or anyone else, they’ll say, ‘I like the shows, but don’t like all the other stuff’.

The fervent West Bromwich Albion fan, who wrote and performed 1996 No.1 single Three Lions with comedy partner David Baddiel and Lightning Seeds supremo Ian Broudie to mark England’s Euro 96 campaign, added: “No disrespect, but I wouldn’t normally say ‘come on, let’s go to Preston for the weekend!’
“But I know much more about Britain than most of the people I know, judging by my conversation with friends, and that’s because I’ve been on tour to all these places.

I suggested a few straight away, including taking in the many delights of the Harris Museum and taking a stroll around Avenham Park, including a Ribble-side walk by the tram bridge and railway arches.
Frank chipped in: “You do realise I’m writing all this down? It better be good. I’ve got a whole day in Preston togo pottering around, after all.”
