Fog-bound London, 1880, at the home of Jack Manningham and his wife Bella.

Bella is on edge, and the stern reproaches from her overbearing husband makes matters worse.

What most perturbs her are Jack’s unexplained disappearances from the house: he will not tell her where he is going, and this only increases her anxiety.

Jack seems intent on convincing Bella she’s going insane, even to the point of assuring her she is “imagining” the gas light in the house is dimming…

This is a thrilling, nerve-rending play full of suspense designed to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

Performances will be on Tuesday February 18, Thursday February 20, Friday February 21 and Saturday February 22.

Box office opens Saturday February 1, call 0370 770 5945. Tickets are £5.50 and £5 for concessions.

All performances are in St Mary’s Church Hall, Cop Lane, Penwortham.
