Take a Horrible run into Spring

So prepare yourselves for the return of Horrible Histories live on stage at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre from Wednesday March 26.

Barmy Britain is the wonderfully wacky new show crammed full of foul facts, gruesome gore and all new amazing 3D effects.

Horrible Histories is the live show adapted from the much-loved children’s historical comedy book series by renowned children’s author Terry Deary.

The Horrible Histories series of tales are spattered with blood, battles, gore and glory and teach children about all aspects of history from Ruthless Romans and Terrible Tudors to Vile Victorians and The Frightful First World War through comedy songs, squelchy sound effects and sketches and the exciting use of 3D ‘boggle vision’.

Can you beat a battling Boudicca? Has William Wallace met his match? Would you lose your heart or head to horrible Henry? Can evil Elizabeth entertain England? Will Parliament survive gunpowder Guy?

Can King Charles keep his head? Would you stand and deliver to dastardly Dick Turpin?

Escape the clutches of Burke and Hare, dare to dance the Tyburn jig, move to the groove with party Queen Victoria?

It’s a horrible history of Britain with all the nasty bits left in!

Horrible Histories is great fun with a hefty dose of education for ages 6 to 106.

Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain is at the Grand Theatre in Blackpool, Wednesday 26 to Sunday 30 March.

Shows are Wednesday and Thursday 1.30pm & 7pm, Friday 10.30am & 7pm, Saturday 2.30pm & 7pm, Sunday at 11am & 3pm.
