Exploring themes of identities, connected lives and the need for secrecy versus the search for intimacy, it is a darkly witty study of modern manners.

Laura Lindsay and Peter Carruthers’ debut play, in which they also perform, also enjoyed a critically-acclaimed sell-out run at Underbelly in Edinburgh last August as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Black Toffee theatre
company was formed by Laura in 2011 with the aim of producing high quality theatre and film which reflect modern society and challenge perspectives.

She and Peter met during training at Arden School of Theatre in Manchester, where they discovered a mutual love of new writing, an interest in human psychology and a shared dark sense of humour.

Hidden is at Korova arts and café bar in Preston next Friday.
