The 38-year-old, from Wisconsin, USA, formerly known as Mr Kennedy in WWE, will fly in from America for the show at Evoque nightclub in Church Street, Preston.

The two-time world heavyweight champion will face rising British talent Zack Gibson, from Liverpool, who will be eager to impress against such a decorated opponent.

Mr Anderson clinched the United States Championship and won the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 23 during a four-year spell with WWE.

Since joining TNA in 2010 he has held the company’s top title twice, capturing gold after defeating Jeff Hardy and the legendary Sting.

Friday’s ‘I Want To Break Three’ show is headlined by PCW Heavyweight Champion Joey Hayes defending his title against another ex-WWE star, Chris Masters.

Masters defeated Hayes on his way to PCW’s Road to Glory tournament trophy earlier this year, but Hayes has since claimed the top prize in the company from Danny Hope, cashing in his Money In The Bank Briefcase moments after Hope won the PCW Rumble at Who Dares Wins.

If that wasn’t enough, the former PCW Heavyweight Champion Lionheart - who has made an inspirational recovery from a broken neck sustained in the ring during a bout with AJ Styles earlier this year - will be the special guest referee.

Sheffield’s Kris Travis was originally set to face Ring of Honor World Champion Michael Elgin, who unfortunately withdrew from their match.

The ‘Shooting Star’ was then booked by PCW officials to go head-to-head with a “huge name” making his PCW debut, but Travis has also now been forced to pull out of the show, due to illness.

His scheduled mystery opponent has been added to a match which will see Bubblegum’s PCW Cruiserweight Championship on the line.

The triple threat contest will now be contested between the Mancunian champion, Welsh high flyer Mark Andrews, who made an impressive debut at Supershow 4 earlier this year, and the surprise guest.

In what is now an anniversary show tradition, six of the company’s biggest names will aim to almost guarantee themselves a future PCW Heavyweight Championship reign as they compete for the Money In The Bank Briefcase - which entitles the holder to a title shot anytime, anywhere.

Team Single members and PCW Tag Team Champions T-Bone and Rampage Brown will surely have the upper hand as they are joined by the Black County beast Dave Mastiff, crowd favourite Dean Allmark, Yorkshire’s Martin Kirby and former PCW Champion, ‘Delicious’ Danny Hope.

Elsewhere on the card, the ever-cunning Dave Rayne defends his unique #Boom championship against Scottish sensation Noam Dar, who is looking to end an unfortunate losing streak in Preston.

Two other stars will also make their debut on August 1, as the unpredictable Mad Man Manson welcomes one mystery debutant, and in another singles contest, former Cruiserweight champion April Davids takes on a second unknown newcomer, in her first PCW match since she was defeated by Bubblegum at Who Dares Wins.

Doors open at 6pm, with the first bell at 7pm.

Tickets priced £15 are on sale now.
