Midnight opening for Longridge barbers as hairdressers and barbers across Lancashire were allowed to reopen

Barber Ike Walmsley was out of the blocks as the clock turned midnight, opening up his shop for customers desperate for a haircut.

His Gentlemen's Lounge barbers in Towneley Road, Longridge, opened up as soon as April 12 began - the day all hairdressers and barbers across England were allowed to open.

And he was delighted to do so - even though they do not normally open on Mondays.

First customer was Cam Wilkinson, who was delighted to get his first post-lockdown trim!

Ike opened the shop in November 2015 when he was just 20.
