As staggered starts continue, schools across Blackpool and the Fylde are filling up with pupils returning to class for the first time since March.

The day included the new year sevens being treated to an outdoor whole year registration. The introductory sessions provided the pupils time with their new form tutors and were followed by team games in the sports department.

Headteacher David Harrow said; “ It has been truly fantastic to see our reception, Year 7 and Year 12 students in school for their start-of-year induction.
“We have enjoyed welcoming our many new joiners and their parents and seeing those already in the school move through to the next stage of their education with us.”

Amanda Ilhan,head of AKS preparatory school and nursery added: "I was so delighted to greet all the new AKS Prep children attending the Induction Morning."
