It was originally common land derived from the Royal Forest of Fulwood by the Charter of Henry III in 1235. Formally known as Preston Moor the park has been at the centre of many of the town’s historic and memorable events for hundreds of years. These archive pictures were all taken in more recent times, with a smattering of older pictures thrown in to show the real history of the open space.
