Gin is the tonic for city pub festival!

A Lancashire pub lived up to its name over the Bank Holiday weekend when the main tipple of choice just had to be gin.

The inaugural Plungington Gin Festival, presented by Plau Gin & Beer House, ran for three days at The Plungington Hotel on Lytham Road, Fulwood. attracting some 1400 visitors.

There were numerous different gins to sample, cocktail masterclasses, a wine and whisky stall, a craft and cask beer bar, outdoor games such as skittles, hoopla and croquet and outdoor food refreshments.

Visitors were able to get in to holiday mood with both live music and the Vintage 78 DJs.

Business Development Manager Bill Murray said: “It’s been fantastic - really something special. We had 105 different gins from all over the world, some had amazing flavours, some changed colour, one was local called Cuckoo Gin from the Brindle Distillery and that went down well.”
