Blue skies and sunshine ahead

Prints and brights are what we need to look forward to in the depths of January gloom.

And for the spring and summer, Phase Eight’s classic style is reflected in a striking and ultra feminine collection that draws on its heritage of timeless design, colour and print.

Daywear is relaxed yet vibrant, and includes a collection that works just as well for lazy weekends in the country, as it does for the office, fusing desk-to-dinner dressing with smart daywear pieces.

Knits in patterns with multiple colours and draped jersey dresses in a palette of soft grey, cornflower blue and taupe sit against digital floral prints in crushed raspberry and basic black. There is a new take on casual cruise, with stripes and paisley prints contrasted in a truly Mediterranean palette of zingy citrus brights and navy blue with splashes of violet for a playful twist. Feminine blazers are casually thrown over tailored denim for classic sophistication, while crochet and lace detailing on simple tunics and knitwear add an element of interest.

Taking inspiration from garden florals, there is a feast for the senses, in a collection to lift the spirits after months of bleak grey skies. Clean silhouettes are contrasted with an abundance of botanical florals, abstracted in homage to Monet’s famous water lily paintings. Sunshine yellow, lime green and cherry blossom pink pop against a base of copper, olive and bright white for a bold and intriguing start to the summer season.

An alluringly feminine look, inspired by young Brigitte Bardot is a confectionary of pastels, particularly duck egg blue and peppermint green, lifting a largely monochromatic palette of dove grey and black, whilst a dusting of beaded embroidery and crochet florals add textural detail to simpler silhouettes.
