THE most intimate of theatrical experiences arrives in Garstang next week - when you can watch a hit show performed entirely within the confines of a 1978 VW campervan.
Only five audience members at a time can fit into the van for a ‘journey’ from Land’s End to Edinburgh in the production ‘Running On Air’, which will be parking up on September 15 outside the Visit Garstang Centre and Booths.
Lancashire born storyteller and comedian Laura Mugridge warmly welcomes you to climb aboard her yellow campervan Joni for a show unlike any before.
Watch Laura unfold enchanting and scenic tales as she narrates her life chronicles of love, domesticities and vehicle break downs.
A sell out hit at the Edinburgh Fringe 2010, Spot On – Lancashire’s rural touring network, has arranged for Laura and her quirky travelling companion, to hit the road in a mini tour around Lancashire and will be stopping in Garstang for one day only.
Performer Laura Mugridge said: “It’s an amazing journey from London right up to Edinburgh where I share with the audience the last two years of my life in the campervan.
“The show tells the tale of a true love story, filled with adventures by the sea, on top of mountains and on the road. It’s definitely an experience different to one you’ve ever had before.
“This show allows gentle audience interaction and offers the opportunity to meet some new people in the process.
“So step into my campervan and enter the colourful world of Laura Mugridge.”
There will be a number of showings on the day, from 12 noon and 2pm.
