BARTON Grange garden centre has been named the best in the region.
The garden centre on the A6 at Brock, is the best garden centre in the north west of England, according to the Garden Centre Association (GCA).
In its audit earlier this year, the centre came out top for best overall garden centre, but also won best restaurant, best plant area, best farm shop and best staff.
Managing director Guy Topping, who attended the results announcement with a team of 12 staff, said: “They were all absolutely delighted, and I am thrilled for them.
“To come out on top in so many key areas is such an achievement and I am so proud of each and every one of them.”
The centre also received several awards of merit, including for its houseplants, indoor lifestyle and facilities for the disabled.
The GCA carries out an audit of all garden centres each year, judging them on everything from their car park to the cakes in the restaurant.
The results were announced at Bents Garden Centre, Glazebury in Cheshire.
Barton Grange opened in March 2008, having relocated from its original site further down the A6 next to the Barton Grange Hotel in Barton.
