Garstang Theatre Group held its annual dinner and prizegiving at the Wyrebank Function Suite recently.
Main guests were the town’s deputy mayor Coun Sandra Perkins accompanied by the former town mayor Mrs Gillian Lamb.
Coun Perkins told the gathering how much she had enjoyed the recent production of The Wizard of Oz, adding how pleased she was to see a good number of young persons taking part.
National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) 10 year long service badges were presented to David Clark, John Corkish, Steve Dobson and George Richardson.
The Harold Yates Memorial Cup was presented to George Richardson for his portrayal of the “Scarecrow” in Wizard of Oz.
The Frank Moreland Cup for exceptional service to the group was presented to Terry Underdown.
The Avril Bevan Junior Trophy was presented to Rosie Taylor for her portrayal of “Dorothy” in the Wizard of Oz.
Entertainment for the evening was provided by a “Mystery cabaret” followed by a Disco.
It was announced that the panto this year would be Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
