Retro night set for football club

It's time to get out the leg warmers and giant sunglasses for a retro night at Chorley Football Club.

Victory Park Social Club will roll back the years this Friday, February 26, for a fancy dress 80s night.

Organiser Josh Vosper said: “We’re delighted to be hosting an evening reliving the best of the 1980s.

“It’s going to be a great chance to get together with friends and family and get caught up in the magic of this fabulous decade.

“The 1980s are renowned for different music genres, from the decadent New Romantic movement to the vibrant synthesiser pop scene, and local band ‘The AT’s’ will reflect this eclectic mix.

“I’m also proud to say we’ve been working with Boogienites Fancy Dress shop in town, and anyone who buys a ticket in the shop will get a discount on an outfit for the event.”

Owner of Boogienites in Market Street, Sonia Notemem added: “It’s been great working alongside Chorley FC and Josh. He’s a very passionate person and wants the event to be a success.

“I thought it would be the ideal opportunity to help in the local community and get my business on the map.”

The night kicks off at 7.30pm and tickets are £10 each including a retro buffet and live music from The AT’s, with a disco until late.

Fancy dress is optional but encouraged.
