If you have ever wanted to know what a tarantula’s hair feels like or how smooth the skin of a snake is, this February half-term the Creepy Crawly Roadshow North West arrives at the family aquarium.

Family members young and old have the opportunity to face their fears and learn about some of the fantastic animals on display.

From snakes to cockroaches, stick insects to snails and spiders, hosts Tracey and John will reveal some fascinating facts about the creepy crawly critters.

And those children brave enough will get a chance to hold or even wear some of the amazing creatures, giving the adults the perfect opportunity to take some truly wonderful photographs.

Sea Life Blackpool’s General Manager, Jenn Newton, said: “At Sea Life we love sharing new experiences with our visitors and this half term we wanted to bring them something different.

“Visitors can learn all about the planet’s amazing underwater world as they travel through Sea Life; from native sharks to stunning seahorses and now for a limited time only, creepy crawlies too.”

The Creepy Crawly Roadshow is guaranteed to keep the little ones entertained and will be at Sea Life Blackpool from Saturday 16 February every day up to and including Saturday 23 February.

Alongside the Creepy Crawly Roadshow visitors can enjoy the interactive rockpool where there is an opportunity to hold the crabs and touch the starfish

Feeding demonstrations occur every day with the centre’s 200+ creatures including Sharks, Seahorses, Octopus & Rays.

All of the creatures can be seen across the 50 plus displays at the top Blackpool attraction including Reef Explorer, The Rainforest & our Underwater Tunnel

And when you’re little ones have seen all there is to see a children’s soft play area is available with refreshments for mum and dad open all day.

For those of you wanting to take in the sea air, after the great success of the Blackpool beach cleans organised in 2012, The Sea Life Centre has revealed that in 2013, the Blackpool beach clean will become a regular monthly event as part of the Love My Beach campaign with the first event taking place at 2pm on Sunday, February 24.

All the Blackpool Beach Cleans meet opposite the Sea Life Centre at the RNLI Lifeboat Station.
