Welsh singing star Aled Jones has revealed he cannot wait for this weekend’s Symphony At The Tower, in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice, as he views Lancashire as his second home.

On Friday, The Human League and The Christians will perform.

Aled, singer turned television and radio presenter, will take to the stage on Saturday to host a night of music from The Heart of England Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring vocal performances from Aled and Sophie Evans, from the BBC’s Over The Rainbow.

Aled said: “I’m really looking forward to the night at Hoghton Tower because Lancashire is like my second home – my mother-in-law lives in Poulton-le-Fylde and I met my wife in Blackpool so it’s a county that’s close to my heart.”
