Appeal for information after cats dumped in Preston park

Can you identify these cats? The RSPCA is appealing for information after the duo were dumped in Preston's Moor Park on Monday.

They were discovered around 12 noon in a Monster Munch cardboard box by a passing schoolboy who rescued them.

His mum later contacted the animal charity which has now provided a temporary home for the black and white cats.

Vicky Westwood, the RSPCA inspector who collected them, said: “They are both female, in good body condition and are about 12 months old. The vet has given them a good bill of health. They've been well looked after.”

She continued: "Whether someone has just had enough, put them in a box and dumped them out I'm not really sure. If someone saw anyone walking with a Monster Munch box to Moor Park or recognises the cats can they call us? The cats have had a good home prior to being dumped."
