Call for action after swan's ill-advised home-building

Walkers in Preston's Haslam Park were surprised to see where this swan has decided to set-up home.

Concerned residents took to Twitter after the bird was spotted bedding-down next to a busy walkway.

@kennystaffie said "swans build nest next to walkway on haslam park pond could do with a bit of protection, From dogs and ?"

Preston City Council alerted their local park ranger to the situation, and the Preston RSPCA were also informed.
