Cars in flames outside Preston food distribution centre

A fire broke out in the car park of fresh food distribution centre in Preston.

Two fire crews from Preston and Fulwood were called to the car park off Caxton Road, Fulwood, at 8.15am to reports that a three vehicles were on fire, and that other cars were nearby.

The vehicles are parked outside a fresh food distribution centre belonging to J H Haslam.

fire service spokesman said: "Four vehicles were damaged. Three of them were severely damaged, and another must have get a bit of scorching."

There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
