Christmas 1914 was recreated by Cockerham school pupils in a special first world war show to raise money for charity.

The pupils musical tribute was presented in front of a packed village hall audience who saw the fantastic costumes scenery and props, not to mention the amazing revolving trench in all their glory.

Over the two night Christmas special the children sold programmes and handmade chocolates to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

And they were delighted to have over £200 to Helen Mason from the charity who described their performance as “one of the best she had ever seen.”
