A Chorley man will appear in court later this month accused of entering a woman's home without her permission and threatening her with a knife.

Between Friday, July 1 and Friday, October 7, at Leyland, Anthony Alan Thomas Eastham, 30, of Brock Road, Chorley, is accused of threatening Rebecca Edmondson that he would set fire to her home address and vehicle belonging to her, causing her distress and fear that violence would be used against her.

Mr Eastham is said to have entered her home address without her permission and confronted her with a knife. On August 7 he is also accused of sending her a threatening text message. Entering a plea of not guilty, Mr Eastham has been remanded on bail until Monday, November 28, on the condition that he does not contact directly or indirectly the alleged victim and is not to enter Leyland, staying only at his home address.
