Investigation launched following 'suspicious' death of woman in Preston

An investigation is underway following the "suspicious" death of a woman in Preston.

Officers attended an address on Fir Trees Avenue, in the Grange area of the city, after receiving a concern for welfare report at around 11pm last night (February 16).

When police arrived at the scene the body of a woman was found at the address.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "Formal identification has yet to take place, but at this time police believe the body to be that of a woman aged in her 20s.

"We are currently treating her death as suspicious."
