Farm hit by thief

MAN who stole expensive machinery from a Garstang farm a fortnight ago is to be sentenced at Preston Crown Court on April 13 after admitting two thefts to a court.

Michael Brade, 41, of Charnley Road, Blackpool, admits stealing a Komatsu digger and an Ifor Williams trailer worth £26,500 on March 14.

Blackpool Magistrates’ Court committed the case to the higher court and granted him conditional bail in the meantime.

PRESTON: Daniel Allen, 29, of Regent Park, Fulwood, Preston, admits causing actual bodily harm to a woman, possessing a knife and driving dangerously on February 27 on Kings Drive and Black Bull Lane in Fulwood.

He will appear at Preston Crown Court on April 19 to be sentenced.

He was given conditional bail.

PRESTON: Mohammed Rahil Aziz, 31, of Carroll Street, Preston, admits using threatening behaviour towards a man and smashing his window on July 20 last year.

He was given a curfew by Preston Magistrates’ Court and must also pay £135 compensation, a £60 surcharge and £85 costs.

PRESTON: Matthew Woods, 24, of Sherburn Road, Penwortham, admits assaulting a woman.

He is expected to be sentenced before Preston Crown Court on April 5 after the case was committed.

PRESTON: A dine dasher who struck in Preston has been given a curfew.

Peter Ainsley, 46, of Fishergate Hill, Preston, fled the Chinese Buffet in Friargate on February 28 without paying his £12.99 bill, Preston magistrates were told.

He was ordered to pay £12.99 compensation and a £60 surcharge.

PRESTON: Desmond Oldham, 39, of Lancaster Road North, Preston city centre, admits a charge of attempting to trespass in a house on Vine Street, Preston, on Valentine’s Day. The intruder was remanded in custody by Preston Magistrates’ Court until his sentencing at Preston Crown Court on April 5.

WARTON: Mark Richardson, 44, of Church Road, Warton, near Preston, admits driving his van without due care and attention.

Blackpool magistrates ordered him to pay a £290 fine, £29 surcharge and £85 costs.

Jack Kirkby, 20, of Cemetery Road, Preston, admits possessing cannabis and was given four months’ jail suspended for 12 months with an £80 surcharge and £85 costs,

Lee Halliday, 34, of Weldbank Lane, Chorley, admits assaulting and woman and damaging her oven and must pay a £165 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Trader Tyrone Lee, 22, of Burton Road, Eggington, Derbyshire, admits failing to give a customer in Leyland the right to cancel and failing to comply with a trading regulation and must pay a £150 fine, £20 surcharge and £50 costs.

Melvin Ronald, 28, of Woodville Street, Leyland, was found guilty of not paying his rail fare and must pay a £440 fine, £44 surcharge, £4.30 compensation and £85 costs.

Jamie Taylor, 30, of School Lane,Winmarleigh, near Garstang, was found guilty of not wearing a seatbelt and must pay a £220 fine, £22 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Tomasz Poznanski, 26, of New Hall Lane, Preston, was found guilty of failing to give driver information and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge, and £85 costs.

David Sowerby, 31, of Manor Avenue, Burscough admits assaulting a woman and must pay a £265 fine, £50 compensation, a £27 surcharge and £85 costs.

John Langhan, 50, of Hall Carr Lane, Longton, is banned for 45 months and must pay a £60 surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving.

Kelly Parkinson, 33, of Warton Place, Chorley, admits damaging a door and must pay £200 compensation.

Mussa Jaffer, 24, of Borrowdale Avenue, Blackburn, was given a 12 month discharge with a restraining order after admitting assaulting a woman and must pay a £15 surcharge and £200 costs.
