Man 'lucky to be alive' after being stabbed multiple times during Blackburn assault

Police were called to a report of an assault in Walnut Street shortly before 4pm yesterday (April 3).
The victim, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital with a number of "serious" stab wounds. His condition has been described as stable.

Hide AdAn investigation has been launched and officers are urging anyone with mobile phone, dashcam or CCTV to come forward.
Det Sgt Steve Craig, of East CID, said: "This incident has left a man with some very serious injuries and he is lucky to be alive.
"I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened, has captured any footage or who has any information which could help us identify the offenders to come forward urgently.”
The offenders - who were all around 25 to 30 years-old - have been described as Asian men, police said.

Hide AdThe first man was medium build, average height and had a bald/ shaven head.
He was wearing a dark-coloured bubble gilet and a short sleeve t-shirt.
The second man wore dark-coloured clothing.
The third man was wearing a black Nike air top.
