Police are renewing their appeal for information after a van containing thousands of pounds of tools was stolen from a pub car park in Garstang.

The van, a white Mercedes Sprinter, was parked in the car park of the Kings Arms on High Street when it was stolen around 6.45am on February 4.

Police have now issued CCTV images of two men in the area at the time of the offence who they want to trace.

The van contained more than £3,000 worth of tools and was spotted at a petrol station on the A6 at Churchtown around 15 minutes later. It was driven off towards Broughton.

Police have also released CCTV images of a man who they are looking to speak to in connection with the theft, and are appealing for information.

PC Rachel Bibby said: “An investigation is under way but I appeal to anybody who recognises either of the men in the CCTV, or who has any other information about this offence, to contact us.

“These tools were the victim’s livelihood and we’re doing all we can to try and reunite him with his property.”
