These are the latest cases and convictions from Preston's courts - Friday, March 6, 2020

Anthony Ainsworth, 54, of Hollinshead Street, Chorley, was jailed for 14 weeks after being found guilty of affray and failing to surrender to bail.

Carol Gibbons, 41, of Briary Court, Clayton Brook, Chorley, was jailed for four weeks after admitting stealing alcohol on four separate occasions.

Charlene Scarff, 34, of Home Park Drive, Buckshaw Village, Chorley, was banned for 24 months after admitting drink driving, and must pay a £400 fine, £40 surcharge and £85 costs.

Karl Atkinson, 28, of Marlborough Road, Accrington, must do 240 hours unpaid work after admitting having articles for use in the course of a theft, including a rip saw and blade.

Peter Epton, 55, of Halifax Drive, Buckshaw Village, Chorley, admits failing to give driver ID and must pay a £162 fine, £30 surcharge and £85 costs.

Joshua James Halliday, 23, of St Gregory’s Place, Chorley, was jailed for six months after admitting making a threat to kill, damaging a car, and driving while disqualified on Christmas Eve and must pay a £122 victim surcharge.

Kaine Thomas Kelly, 26, of Chestnut Crescent, Ribbleton, Preston, was jailed for seven days after admitting stealing alcohol worth £180 from Morrisons.

Mark McCallister, 39, of Arundel Place, Preston, admits stealing aftershave and socks, and must pay a £40 fine, £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Stephen Young, 38, of Newsham Road, Lancaster, was bound over in the sum of £100 for six months by magistrates after admitting breaching the peace.

Stuart Clarkson, 47, of no fixed abode, was jailed for 10 weeks after admitting two counts of theft from Booths in Carnforth.
