If you go down to the woods this Easter, then make sure they’re the woods at Gisburn Forest where there’s a family-friendly nature walk with a difference and a feast for the senses.
As part of this year’s Festival Bowland programme, the Forest of Bowland AONB team is offering a springtime Easter Earthwalk on Thursday, April 4.
This offers a great chance to walk off some of those Easter eggs and the perfect way to take a closer look at part of Lancashire’s largest forest.
The walk is suitable for accompanied youngsters aged from four to 11 and will enable everyone to look more closely at the natural environment. Colour dabs, smelly cocktails and mini-musical scores will all be on offer during the hour-long walk which starts at 10.30am and costs £2 per child with accompanying adults free.
