There are two important events being organised by the Friends of Beacon Fell, on the fell, for Easter.
On Easter Saturday, March 30, there is an outdoor bird of prey flying display, weather permitting, when those attending will get the chance to hold some of the birds, as well as see flying demonstrations.
There will be a small admission charge for adults, but no charge for children and there is no need to book in advance.
The first display is at noon, but there will be other displays during the afternoon. Then on Wednesday, April 3, there will be an egg hunt for children on the fell. Clues will be posted throughout the fell and all entrants are guaranteed to win a prize.
The cost is £1 per entrant and the first hunt starts at 11am, although there will be more during the day and it would be helpful if anyone wishing to take part could reserve a place by contacting 01995 640557 beforehand.
