Pilling St John’s Primary School have opened its doors to some VIP visitors from overseas.
The school welcomed its comenius partners to England as fellow educators from Austria, Germany, Italy and Slovenia made the trip.
The Comenius programme is a European Union educational project which concerns school-level education, and is part of the EU’s Lifelong Learning Programme.
Amongst local attraction visits the European guests also paid a visit to Pilling St John’s school and were treated to a welcoming assembly lead by head teacher Pauline Tate.
The guests were able to meet the staff team and pupils and were said to have been intrigued at the capabilities of the children because in Europe children do not begin formal education until they are six years of age.
