Fallen tree leaves over 700 Garstang homes without power

A fallen tree which damaged overhead power lines has left 734 houses in Garstang without power.

The power cut off from the Electricity North West customers at 7.30am and engineers quickly arriving at the scene to remove the tree and repair the lines.

An Electricity North West spokesman said: “Power was restored to the majority of customers at 12.20pm and engineers are working hard to get the remaining 18 customers back on as soon as possible today.

The company says the streets affected are Church Lane, Lancaster Road, Park Lane and Crimbles Lane but could not reveal the location of the damaged power lines.
