Hide AdLinzi Young, of the children’s hospice, said: “It was brilliant.
“We had 2,080 runners taking part of all abilities – from the very experienced club runners to those in fancy dress and lots of people doing a 10k for the first time.
“The fastest runner, Mike Toft, did it in 35 minutes and 54 seconds.
“It was really sunny from quite early on. We got glorious weather and there was a fantastic atmosphere. It felt like a mini-London Marathon.
“The money is still coming in but so far we have £50,000.”
