A man who forced a woman into a cupboard during a nasty assault has been jailed for 10 weeks.

Ian Mee, 39, of Bankside, Clayton Le Woods, Chorley, attacked the woman on March 19, while a child was present, magistrates’ heard.

The bench said there had been a breach of trust and use of weapon, and sustained assault and “additional degradation of the victim”.

He must pay an £80 surcharge.

PRESTON: A man has been jailed for 28 weeks after admitting a string of thefts, and assaulting a man.

Andrew Webster, 50, New Hall Lane, targeted Boots at Deepdale Retail Park four times, stealing electric shavers and a respirator, Preston magistrates heard.

He must pay an £80 surcharge and £180 court charge.

CHORLEY: A man who injured a woman during an assault has been jailed for 26 weeks suspended for 12 months.

Richard Hutchinson, 41, of John Street, Coppull, pleaded guilty to actual bodily harm and must pay a £80 surcharge and £150 court charge and have 12 months supervision.

PRESTON: A man who sold booze to a child in Preston has been ordered to pay a £125 fine, £20 surcharge and £200 costs.

Daniel Benson, 27, of The Quays, Salford, admitted the offence to Preston magistrates.

CHORLEY: A man who admits two counts of interfering with cars was given 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months.

Damian Lee Fishwick, 40, of Scawfell Road, Chorley, appeared before Ormskirk Magistrates’ Court.

He was ordered to pay an £80 surcharge and £150 court charge.

PRESTON: Asad Malik, 20, of Brackenbury Road, Preston, admits assaulting a woman and destroying household items that belonged to her.

He was given a restraining order against her, and must do 150 hours unpaid work and pay £80 compensation, a £60 surcharge and £150 costs, Preston Magistrates’ Court ruled.

PRESTON: Catherine McDowell, 27, of Kirkland Place, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, was given 11 weeks in jail suspended for 12 months with an £80 surcharge after admitting driving while disqualified.

Rinor Salihu, 19, of Golbourne Street, Deepdale, Preston, admits driving without insurance and must pay a £110 fine, £20 surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 court charge.

Mariusz Nowak, 38, of Leyton Avenue, Leyland, was bound over in the sum of £200 for 12 months by magistrates after admitting breaching the peace.

Sean Singleton Samuel Kellett, 27, of Brieryfield Road, Preston, was given 18 weeks suspended for 12 months and 100 hours unpaid work after admitting stealing groceries, and must pay an £80 victim surcharge and £40 costs.

Jonathon Winfield, 46, of Arcon Road, Coppull, Chorley, was banned for six months after being found guilty of failing to give a driver’s information and must pay a £600 fine, £60 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Susan Wardle, also known as Keaveney, 59, of Silvester Road, Chorley, was found guilty of failing to give a driver’s information and must pay a £600 fine, £60 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Bhavesh Parekh, 34, Northcote Road, Preston, was given a curfew after admitting a string of shoplifting offences and must pay a £60 surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 court charge.

Jordan Ian Brown, 20, of Poulton Street, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, admits damaging a car and must pay a £70 fine, £100 compensation, a £20 surcharge and £85 costs.
