The first two of the revived Longridge car boot sales at the civic hall have been declared a resounding success after stalls sold out and they each attracted around 300 people, says organiser Jodie Harrington.

Sharon Loving of the town’s Ginger Baker has run the cafe and Jodie’s husband Terry and son Damien are helping her run the car boots. Jodie also says everyone is having lots of fun, with some amazing stall holders and she would like to thank them all.

The next car boot is on Sunday, May 1 (due to pre-booked events at the civic this Sunday and next) and will be a bank holiday extravaganza with outside market and children’s activities.
